Microsoft Office

My computer recently had a virus on it and so a friend took everything off my laptop and reinstalled Window XP back on. However, Microsoft Office was pre-loaded onto my laptop when I got the computer. Is there any way to get that back? I don't have a CD or anything that I can find that has Microsoft Office. I have a Dell Vostro 1400 running Windows XP.

The answer is no, you can't - if you've lost the CD and don't have the product key, you'll need to buy a new copy.

Go to Microsoft.com and download trial version.  Then use your existing license to activate.  This will only work for the version that your license is for.  You may have to activate over the phone if it will not activate online.

If you do not have the CD key anymore, you can download MS Office Starter.  It has some ads that you have to deal with but it is free.
