Monitor failure
Lately I've been having trouble with my Inspiron i7567 laptop. At first, the screen would freeze during boot up on the Dell logo screen. It has now evolved to a complete failure in which the screen turns to a light blue with purple and green pinstripes. This happens almost every time I boot it and anytime I close the laptop or wake it from sleep mode. Any ideas what's going on? Or possible solutions? Thanks.

Start with the display diagnostic (hold D through powerup). You should see a series of alternating screens -- without that fault you've described. Do you, or does the fault show in the LCD test?

All the screens showed without the fault, it seems to mostly do it when opening the laptop.
