My fan stopped spinning and I'm looking for a new one

Hi,

The fan on my Inspiron 5558 stopped working and I think I should buy a replacement fan/heatsink assembly. The label on my fan says AT1AO002DT0, but no vendor I contacted has this part, However, I could buy the AT1AO002FF0 one.

I've noticed that both assemblies have the same 'Dell Part Number', which is 1GRYN, 01GRYN.

My question is: Are the AT1AO002DT0 and the AT1AO002FF0 the same thing or even compatible? Can I replace my AT1AO002DT0 with a new AT1AO002FF0?

The Dell part number is the key - any part with the 1GRYN string will work.

You're going to need to change the thermal pad/heatsink material as well - make sure the replacement you buy comes with it (or that you purchase that separately).
