My laptop wont turn on after sleep/closing the lid

Hello, This problem has never happened before.

Days ago, I closed my lid for just around 10 minutes. when I got back, I opened the lid and this is what appeared on the screen

Did anyone experience this before? Can you please offer any advice if possible?

I have tried with Dell Detect program but it doesn't help, as it said all drivers are working properly. My laptop also just upgraded to the newest version of Windows 10 if that is relevant to this problem.

Thank you so much for any further recommendation.

What happens if you revert to OS you had?

I have the same issue after the fall creators update for win10 64 bit. If I plug in an external monitor, then unplug it, the screen recovers. This is an inspirion 5559 with intel 520 hd graphics

The same thing happened to me after my laptop was updated to Win10. I will try the external monitor option! Thank you!

Update you driver! I guess this is a Intel GPU. It is a known issue with Intel drivers. Check Intel's web site. Looks like the same issue.

Thank you for the suggestion. I have tried with Intel Driver support but they all said all drivers are updated and working properly

I updated to the latest from the Dell support site, it did not help. I then tried an older intel driver, but it said it was not approved for use on the inspirion 5559. And plugging in an external monitor only worked one time.
