Network Drivers Fresh Windows 7 install

Hi guys

I recently did a fresh install of windows 7 on a friends computer. a dell inspiron N5040. However, when I reinstalled, the network drivers didn't install along with everything else. No biggie usually.

I tried doing the dell auto-find drivers tool, however after going through the installation for the drivers provided and restarting the computer, I still couldn't use ethernet or wireless to connect to a network.

Ethernet controller hardware ID

PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8136&SUBSYS_05051028&REV_05

Network controller hardware ID

PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4727&SUBSYS_00121028&REV_01

PCI Simple communications device hardware ID

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_3B64&SUBSYS_05051028&REV_06

If someone could point me in the right direction, it would mean a lot to me.

Thanks!

Hey, thanks for your help! Unfortunately, the fix was a lot simpler... There was a wifi switch and I didn't even think to look for one... Sigh....

Thank you so much for your help though!
