I do not use a printer with my laptop, so I'm afraid I don't know how a printing problem would factor into the solution I used. Maybe a Dell tech person will see your post and (hopefully) try to help you out. Good luck with that!
Whoever designs these computers without actually ever USING them and noticing that they have a consistent problem new out of the box, that will cause the end-user such problems, is causing harm to the Dell brand. I talk to everyone I know about it, warning them NOT to buy a Dell laptop.
Sorry I couldn't assist with your problem!
Hello - I have the same problem with my Dell Laptop which is only a year and 1/2 old. Cursor jumps all over the place when I am typing and is wasting hours trying to do my work . It just jumped 4 times in the process of typing this short email..... I did what you siuggested above but it does not show that I even have a Dell Touchpad Drive rinstalled. Pelase help!!!!
Have you tried <Function> <F3>? This toggles the Touchpad Off/On Then you can use a mouse for cursor control. This is how I use the computer. The instructions above are for the updated touchpad drivers. Without the updated drivers, I was not able to toggle Off/On the touchpad. (The toggle worked originally and then on one of the updates stopped working. The update I listed works fine on my computer.)
I tried this after my computer was revamped due to a problem. The cursor was jumping around. By holding the Function( Windows Key)down and then F3, the problem seems to have disappeared.
I hope thiating helps everyone as I know how frust oha nuts, it is happening again....rats!!!
