No Audio Output Device Installed
For Inspiron 1521
It worked today, but I was playing around with some of the controls to get the sound setting back after using headphones. Under the "Playback" tab for "Sound," I accidentally hit "disable" for the audio output device and it currently reads "No audio devices installed." So now, no sound can be played at all.
Wish to impart any knowledge of how to access the device and enable it again? Thanks!

Hello tatortots, I am not exactly sure what you are asking, but you might try clicking on the Speaker Icon in the Task Bar, right side, then click on Mixer, and then in the very upper right of the window, click on Device, and make sure that the proper device is checked.
If that fails, you may have to go into the Control Panel, Hardware Devices, and check the Sound, Video Controllers and see if any of these have been disabled.
Hope this helps.

Welcome to the forums :emotion-5:
Follow the advice given above of course. But also check in Device Manager, because you may need to re-enable the audio device in there?
