No screen and 8 bleeps on start up!
Hello - new to this site so hope this ends up in right place! I have a Inspiron N5030 - the screen has playing up for a while (working intermittently) but now has comletely gone. Intially I had vertical lines down the screen - now there is nothing and computer gives 8 continues loud bleeps on start-up - there will be a slight pause then again 8 beeps. This is continuous until the laptop is shut down. I am happy to change the screen but before investing in a new one I was hoping to get some advice as to whether this would be the correct way to go?! Many thanks b

Hi Legdeg,
8 beeps on Inspiron N5030 indicates 'Display failure'. You may connect your computer with an external monitor and see if the issue persists on that as well. You may also run a test on the LCD of your computer to ensure the correct functionality of LCD. You may watch the detailed steps and how to run LCD built in delf test from link: http://dell.to/R6XKBV.
If the test fails and system is under warranty, you may private message me the service tag of your computer. I have added you as a friend. Please accept my friend request by clicking on my name highlighted in blue and then click on “Friends” tab at the top and then click on “Request to Review” and finally click on “Accept” button.
I am sending you a private message as well. Click on “Inbox” to respond to the message and provide system’s Service Tag and contact details so I may access your system records and check for further course of action. You could also click on Start Conversation to send a private message.
Please share the findings.
