Please Help! M6600 video card not showing up in bios

We bought a used M6600 in very nice shape.  The seller wiped the HDD, no OS.  Bios is A12.  When viewing system info, the Nvidia 3000M is not listed.  When running a diagnostic through F12, all tests show good but it shows video from the integrated intel HD GPU, not the Nvidia.

I grabbed a Linux Mint disk to try to get booted in to see if it would be visible, but the screen eventually goes black after some loading, but the cursor is still active, indicating a possible vid issue, maybe?

I removed the keyboard to ensure the card is in it, and there is certainly a card there.  I just need to ensure the health of the card before we get any further with it.

Can anyone advise how to check this further?  Would the diagnostic testing show an issue with the card?  Possible missing driver?

You've pretty much pinned this down to a dying video card.
