Please can you help me? Black screen and cannot restore to factory settings.

Hi, I have a DELL XPS All in One 2710, bought new from DELL 17/01/2013, OS Windows 8, i7. It would not upgrade to Windows 10 and stopped connecting with the router/internet. Decided to format it back to factory settings. Tried F8 and CTRL F11 and it didn't work before the Dell logo came up. Now it boots to the windows desktop, but all I can see is a  black screen with nothing on it. The pc can boot into F2 and F12, I tried setting 1st boot to USB, but i keep getting the DELL LOGO then a blue screen message saying "pc ran into a problem and needs to restart .. "  over and over again.  I am a novice and not sure what to do. Please help me ... I have tried everything to restore to factory settings.
