Plugged in, Not charging

I purchased a Dell Inspiron 15 5558 at the end of December. Within the past couple of weeks, I received notices that my computer was not charging and that my AC adapter was unidentified, I tried all of the diagnostic tests offered  the Dell website but they said that everything was fine. Is this a software or hardware issue What is the next step?

It's hardware - a bad adapter or bad DC jack or mainboard.  Start by calling Dell to arrange warranty service.
