Precision M6400 vs M6500 Hard Drive Caddy
So I managed to get my hands on a Precision M6500. Problem is it does not have any Hard Drives or Hard Drive caddies in it. I want to install 2 Hard drives in this machine.
My problem is I'm unable to locate the Part Number for the Primary HD Caddy, Secondary HD Caddy and its interposer. I can find this information for the M6400, but not for the M6500.
Can anyone confirm the M6400 Caddies and Interposer will or will not work in the M6500? Because I know what to purchase for M6400, but not for M6500 since like I said I can't find the part numbers for the latter. If they are the same between the two laptops then I know what to get.

Below is the part number for the m6500 you are looking for. You will need to call the Dell Spare Parts Dept. at 1-877-717-3355.

Thanks for the Part Numbers. I can see clearly for the Primary Hard Drive the Part Number for M6400 and M6500 is the same.
For the Secondry Hard Drive I am not able to verify if the M6400 and M6500 parts are the same. Is there a way to find that out?

Okay, now I'm a bit confused. JF01F seems to be the part number for M6400 secondary hard drive kit. Please see this link, and you will find many like this. The reason I was not able to locate before is because I was using "caddy" to search instead of "carrier".

So are JF01F and FP2P7 equivalent? Because I need this to work in M6500

Just FYI, I called the Spare Parts Department. They told me to call Tech Support. I called Tech Support.
BOTH a complete waste of time.
In any case I have verified the secondary caddy of the M6500 and M6400 are indeed different (while the primary caddy is indeed identical). I can procure the secondary caddy for M6500 without much trouble. However the interposer it needs is another story.
Dell seems to not want to give me the part number for the interposer. It wants me to purchase entire assembly. Nice.
Hope someone reads this post and lets me know if the Interposer for the 2nd hard drive for M6400 and M6500 is the same. I can get for M6400 but cannot locate if I search using M6500. If they are the same, then I'm in business.
