Problem re-configuring AccessDirect

Following all instructions for re-configuring the single AccessDirect (AD) button on my new Inspiron 5150 has failed to change the factory default that activates "helpctr.exe". All I want is for this AD internet button to go to the URL I use as my home page in IE under Internet Options. I tried typing in the URL in the AD config screen. I tried thru the same screen to get AD to run IEXPLORE.exe. The config process simply ingores my entries and reverts to the factory default when I press Enter. 

Is this a bug in the AD software? There is a slightly later version of the software available for download in Dell, but the documentation doesn't indicate it's applicable to this problem? Should I try it anyway? Other suggestions?
