I upgraded my laptop from Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 8.1 Pro. Now whenever I restart my computer it hangs before the BIOS screen. I've found if I turn on airplane mode. I can successfully restart my laptop. I've installed the latest Qualcomm Killer Wireless 1525 Driver (126.96.36.1991,A01) I also tried diagnostic startup before turning on airplane mode and had the same problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You should Clean Reinstall Windows 8.1 Pro:
Then you should proceed with the Upgrade to Windows 10:
I'm unable to perform a clean install on this laptop. It has a lot of customized settings that are difficult to transfer. It's a custum load created from a Dell Inspiron 15 using a acronis TI 2015 image. I then loaded all the Alienware drivers.
I felt like it was a driver problem. I found Qualcomm Killer Wireless Bluetooth 1525 Driver 188.8.131.520_A00 loaded and I also noticed there were Microsoft Bluetooth drivers loaded. According to my build, Killer Bluetooth should be loaded. When I uninstalled the Killer Bluetooth driver it solved my problem. I did notice the Killer Bluetooth driver is different for Windows 8.1. It is version 184.108.40.2060_A00.
