QuickSet vs. BIOS-Settings
Hello,
my Laptop Dell XPS M1330, with LED-Backlight has the following problem:
in the BIOS there are video-settings for the backlight brigthness in AC and DC mode. The standard settings for AC is 8, the standard setting for DC is 3.
Anyway, if you change brigthness settings in Windows (Vista) with the Quickset (8.2.20) and change the energie supply from AC to DC, the BIOS settings are overwritten. In worst case, the brightness is 1, so you can hardly see anything.
Is there any solution for this problem, like a BIOS update or a new version for Dell QuickSet?

You can use the up down arrow keys to adjust the display on DC

thank you for theanswer.
i know how to adjust the brightness with the fn key.
but the problem is, that the BIOS settings are changed by this.
