Reinstall Windows 7 on Dell Vostro 1510 Error 0x8007045
Hi,
I tried to reinstall Windows 7 on my laptop (Dell Vostro 1510). I chose the custom installation to format the hard disk.
Then, it's asked where I want to install Windows. I have the choice between several partitions: RECOVERY (D:) or OS (C:). But for both of them, there is an error: "Windows can not be installed at this location. Error 0x80070453."
Have you got any ideas about what does that error mean?

Hi,
Welcome to the Community. I suggest you start by running a diagnostics on your hard drive. Press the F12 key at the Dell Logo on startup, select Diagnostics, and run an extended diagnostics on your hard drive. Post back with any error codes.
Check if the hard drive is getting detected in the Bios, by pressing the F2 key at the Dell Logo on startup.
