Scratches on brand new Laptop XPS 1530
Hi Forum Members,
I regret to say I got New Note Book XPS 1530 yesterday and today I opened it and found some scratches on the Panel where main Power Button, Rewind/Fast forward/ Rewind etc is located.
This model is in Black Color, and I can not imagine a brand new things could have scratch.
It seems only that panel is attached later. I hope this is not used or re-buffed model.
I have sent urgent mail to Dell Japan I do not know what they will do.
I have taken images but I can not upload here.
Thanks for listening me.

There is a thin protective piece of plastic film over this bar. You have to make sure you remove it first. Those scratches may just be that film. If you don't find any plastic covering or already removed it, then call Dell for a replacement.

Hi, Thank you for your reply.
Yes, you are right there was a thin plastic sheet which I found later. When I removed (slowly as told by Dell support)I noticed there were some thing like particles of dust or small card board I guess. Which I clean by computer cloth.
So, the cause of that scratch was that left behind things under plastic sheet.
I am glad without any trouble problem solved and I could use my new computer to send the FIRST message to you. I am also glad the first message from Dell computer is to Dell forum.
I am glad I joined this forum.
Thanks a lot
