Service Tag Lookup - Original Specs Not Available.

I'm buying a  s/h Dell Laptop and I have  the Service Tag Number, which I want to use to look up the original specs.

When I click on

View :     Original Configuration     Current Configuration

I get the following message:

"There is no configuration information associated with this system"

Can someone at Dell do a lookup for me?

If you can't look up information based on the service tag, pass on the deal.

I have the service tag number - the problem seems to be on Dell's side.

Yes this has became common for alot of service tags since the upgrade. Dell are working on it however.

I've the same problem but Dell's needs my original config list for an assistance for my CF that doesn't work...
Or my new laptop will never be repair..

Edit:

I've also called a deal but he can find info too with service code located on the box

No itsn't helpful, I need to request an incident for hardware issue that's not listed, how can I solve to seek original components list? Regards, Luca
