Service Tag Update - D610

Hi, All.  Does anyone have the files to update a Service Tag within BIOS for a D610?  Many months ago my company when through and updated all the Service Tags in BIOS to match the tags on the chassis, however, a few were missed.

Since the initial sweep of Service Tag updates, our server with the update files crashed and corrupted all the files (and the company decided it wasn't worth doing any restores to get any files back).

Now, of course, I have to update one more laptop's Service Tag in BIOS but don't have the files!  Currently, BIOS has no Service Tag entered at all - field is blank.  Any help would be much appreciated!!  Thanks!!

There is an undocumented switch for the Asset.com software to set a Service Tag on a machine with no ST installed. Make the Diskette from this linked download and it will boot you into DOS to an A:\Prompt. At the prompt. type & enter this command where the x's & 1's are your Service Tag   asset /s  XXX111X. Note the spaces and get it right the first time, as it will not give you another chance. It also will not work if you have a Service Tag already set

Be sure to not mess up - with asset.com you can only set it once.

This worked perfectly on a D610 w/o a Service Tag in the Bios.

Thanks
