Someone please help-keyboard is not working
I have a dell studio 1640 xps which was fine until I installed windows live now I can't use the keyboard nothing is getting typed but my mouse is working.I don't know What to do,has anybody got any clues???

Welcome to the community
Can you logon to safe mode? Restart the computer, on Dell Logo keep tapping F8. Then choose safe mode. See if keyboard works and see if you can type within safe mode.
If you cant access safe mode, restart the computer, on Dell, keep tapping F12. Then choose diagnostics. (See if up or down arrow keys will work)
If you cannot access both safe mode and one time boot (F12) It only means that keyboard will not respond at all (even outside windows) You can try to reseat the keyboard, see this manual,
