Spilled milk on laptop! Need help!

Hi! I accidently got mile on my laptop while the laptop was open. Everything works fine except for the touchpad. The touchpad doesn't work anymore. Well, maybe a little part does like on the very side. If I touch it, it'll kinda move the arrow a "little". Not much though. How do I fix my touchpad? Do I have to take it to a Dell shop or anywhere? How much do you think it would cost to fix the touchpad? By the way, I had this laptop for 3 months now and it still has warranty like for hardware and some stuff. Would that cover it?

A complete care warranty would cover spills. The basic warranty would not.

The top cover with trackpad would need to be replaced.

I suggest you call the Dellsupport and explain what happened. Ask them to guide you how to remove the keyboard and locate the connection for the palmrest on the motherboard. Clean what you can and hope for it to get better.  If it doesn't help you might need to replace palmrest and or motherboard.

Running a 32-bit diagnostics might help you determine wich of the parts has to be replaced.
