Start-up Problems - Inspiron 15 7000 (7537 BTX)
Hi. I received a new Inspiron 15 7000 yesterday, and am experiencing the following issue: Approximately every other time I try to either a) Turn On the laptop or b) Resume from sleep - the laptop freezes. This is often accompanied by the backlit keyboard being lit and staying on. Nothing else happens. No screen etc. or other response. The only way to get the laptop to work is to hold down the power button to kill the machine, and try again. This usually works and the system starts in a seconds. Is this a known issue? Is there a fix or will I need to send the unit back? Thanks in advance for help!

I'm also having the same issue, but no one has replied to any of the previous threads so I'm not holding my breath to receive a fix.
If any of you from the above posts received some assistance, or know how to fix this, please post the answer.
Thank you!

I have the same problem. I've had the computer for less than a week. The only way I finally got it to boot up is that I went into the Bios first....then seemed to snap it into gear when I exited the Bios. This should not be happening. I'm about to return this computer. Dell doesn't seem to be what it used to be. :( Time to go back to mac, I guess.

Hello,
I'm having exactly the same problem for almost one year. Verry annoying ! I have been trying all different changes in the bios but nothing helped. I bought one of the high end devices in the inspiron range but in fact it is poor quality. Before I had already for 10 years Dell devices, to my satisfaction, but for sure this is my last Dell ! And it seems Dell is not worrying about sorting this out.
