Studio 1537 Multimedia Buttons
The soft touch multimedia buttons above my keyboard do not light up, or work at all. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? I have tried the power off, battery out, hold the power button for 30 secs trick. That didn't work.

Hi
So it sounds like the hinge assembly or center control cover may need reseating or is defective. Just disconnect the cable from the control cover from the motherboard and reconnect it and see if the problem continues. If reseating doesnt help then It will need to be replaced. If the center control cover has been replaced then the socket on the system board may be defective. The following link to the service manual detials the steps in removing the center control cover so that you can reseat it.
