Studio 1537 wont start up
Hi
My Dad's Studio has died, basically you press the power button and the lights go across the top of the keyboard, the fan whurrs once or twice and then it powers off again - the screen doesn't go on at all so i cant get to the bios.
Have tried it off mains, battery, mains without a battery plugged in but no success.
Anyone heard of this or any ideas?

The Studio models are very quirky, I've seen this happen from a bad stick of ram before, you might try pulling the battery and then pulling the ram and installing one stick only and then trying to power it up, if no luck try the other stick by itself. If that isn't it reinstall the ram and pull the hard drive (carefully) and power on. If your hard drive is locked it will prevent the computer from starting. Without the hard drive you should still be able to boot to BIOS.

None of that worked, just tried it with the back off and the fan isnt moving at all - should it?
