TB16 and XPS 13 9350
Spent 3 days on getting TB16 working on my XPS, followed instructions updated everything in correct order.
No output on my Benq 3200U and no ports working. Finally complained and Dell sent new dock
Plugged in new TB16 and monitor worked straight away , got messages that I had a dock connect etc. as well as USB-C port and USB ports working except the Ethernet port.
Have spent all afternoon re installing drivers and can not get the Ethernet up. My WD15 dock works perfectly well
Ready to send this TB16 back as well. Can anyone help

Out of interest do you have Citrix Reciver 4.3.1 installed, This ended up being my issue with a bunch of TB16's that I couldn't get ethernet and USB on , I removed citrix receiver and updated to 4.8 and then ensured all TB drivers and device drivers were up to date (download and installed Dell Command Update if you haven't done so) and it started working fine

When you plug the dock in do you show the Realtek USB GbE Family Controller?
If you look at the device manager do you show any Ethernet controllers if you select to show hidden devices from the view menu?
Are the two lights on near the Ethernet connection on the TB16?

I believe the unknown device is a Generic Superspeed USB Hub using ASMedia drivers.
My driver version for the Realtek Ethernet is 10.12.1007.2016. I am wondering if the Ethernet driver for the WD15 is interfering with the TB 16 driver. Perhaps you could uninstall the driver for the WD15 to check. If a driver is greyed out in the hidden devices, that means it is not currently connected to the system.
I do not know about your system configuration and how the Thunderbolt capabilities function with the TB 16 so it may be something I would not see on my 9365..

When I attach my WD 15 dock I see the realtek driver and everything functions
With the TB16 attached to the XPS 13 I do not see the driver, switch shows connection and RJ45 port on TB16 lights function
Under hidden view Realtek driver is shown but not highlighted
also have this as unkown device USB\VID_0424&PID_5537&ASMEDIAUSBD_HUBSS\00000810

Unknown device is the Benq PD3200U monitor. The TB16 doesn't see the inbuilt hub and none of the usb ports on the TB16 work. The usb-c port works with a usb-c drive attached.
The monitor usb hub works in attached direct to xps 13.
Have engaged Dell support. Ready to go back to my IMAC, or just rebuild the xps. Will see what Dell comes back with.

Dell support has agreed to replace TB16 again as the WD15 and TB 16 use the same drivers. Getting concerned that this is now the second device DOA.
