Touchsceen not working - cursor jumps to center of screen
Just started today - touchsceen no longer works - and the cursor, when left alone, jumps from the spot I had it in to the center of the screen near the top. The problem persists in Safe Mode.
Here's what I have tried:
- restarted
- virus scan both in regular and safe mode
- uninstalled all human interactive device drivers and restarted
- uninstalled usb root hub drivers and restarted
- system restore to three days ago when all was fine
No good yet - any suggestions?

Its a Precision M3800. And for some reason it just started working again out of the blue. No restart, just sat for a couple hours and started working again. Guess its time to manually run a full recovery on the old external.

Thanks for the idea about power management. I will check my settings for sure.

Please list your Dell model number and version of windows. Example Dell Inspiron 3543, windows 10
In the meantime, I'd suggest you calibrate the touchscreen. Please follow steps in link below:
