Transfer SSD from Inspiron 15 to 13

Can I just replace the HDD in the 13 with the SSD from the 15? Both are Windows 10.

It depends on the relative similarly in hardware.  They must be physically compatible (if it's a 2.5" 9.5 mm drive it may not fit into a 13" chassis, which may require an M.2 card drive or a 5 mm drive) and the two systems would need to be of the same generation -- then it might work.  Otherwise, it's unlikely to work.

If you aren't sure on hardware specs of the drives, other than opening the systems up you can access the Service Manuals and some Specs at this link by entering the Service Tags. If the systems do not match similar gen/hardware (like ejn63 mentions), but the drive sizes/types do match then you could swap the drives but would probably need to do a new install of Windows 10. This can be done by downloading the ISO from Dell (if available, depending on what the systems shipped with) or from Microsoft (as long as the systems were activated w/ 10 beforehand).

Best regards,
