Trying to get the laptop to work with the (3) external monitors

Got my Dell Precision 5510 and this dock(below) . The dock is connected via a USB(from dock) to a thunderbolt on the laptop side. I have three external monitors hooked up( 1 HDMI, 1 DP and 1 mini DP). I would love to be able to open the laptop and have it work while the other 3 stay on but the laptop turns on and only two of the monitors stay on when I open the lid. Seems I can only run (3). I've tried all different configuration with no luck. Though maybe if I disconnect the HDMI from the dock and plug in directly to the laptop that would work but no. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hi MSTRLUCKY74,

The Precision 5510 supports a maximum of 3 displays.

The TB16 dock also supports a maximum of 3 displays connected. Kindly review the article here http://dell.to/2czKdEM- See #8 under the 1st Troubleshooting Common Issues listed.

Hi MSTRLUCKY74,

This is as per design.

The response is as per what Dell has tested and documented.
