USB issue

Jump to solution

Have a new Dell Laptop 5759.  USB Ports on right side do not work.  Ran diagnostics and says "USB ports failed."  I don't see instructions on how to resolve this issue.  Any help is appreciated.

If the USB ports failed, they must be replaced - either they're on a daughterboard or the mainboard;  the warranty will cover the replacement as long as there is no physical damage to the ports.  Contact Dell for warranty repair.

If the system is less than 21 days from shipment, you can also ask for a complete system replacement instead of a repair.
