Ubuntu 9.04, Studio 1737, remote control not working (IT8512 CIR Receiver)

I recently bought a Dell Studio 1737 and installed Ubuntu on it. I can get almost everything to work, the remote control won't function.

Is there anybody who has a functional remote control in Ubuntu 9.04. It's the one that came with the laptop, it fits in the PCMIA slot.
