Un-readable screen after hibernate

After my comp goes into hibernate and I re-open the lid up the screen is all striped and glitchy. After I do a restart, it goes back to normal. Anyone else having this problem or any ideas what I need to change. Vista, Dell Inspiron 1501 (Its a brandnew replacement hardrive, after another issue)
