Unsolved XPS 13 9343 Audio Cracking Problem

Hi everyone,

I have a XPS 13 9343. It's annoying to stuck with that sound problem and i am really disappointed. Since i got this computer i have been trying to solve this sound cracking issue but i couldn't fix it. I have tried all things which updating audio driver, installing new version of realtek driver, trying to set 24bit 192000hz sample rate, etc.. None of these worked!

The main problem is that there is no 24bit 192000hz audio sample in sound preferences as you can see at screen shot. And whatever i did there was no change. I got always cracking issue on sound. I also built up a second operation system as a Linux Mint and sound driver works perfect with Alsa at 16bit 44100hz. No failure on sound. Nothing..

How can i fix this issue please help me.. Also i have realtek hardware but windows 10 insist to use Intel Smart Sound driver. I think this might be the problem?

Please help me, cause i am really annoyed..

Thank you

Hello Robert,

First of all thank you for your reply but these all didnt work for me. I already found and tried all of them before i wrote down here.. So i really dont understand what is the main problem.

And also something is wrong about sound driver. I have Realtek as a hardware but Windows uses Intel's "Smart Sound Tech. Driver" I cant change it as a Realtek HD Audio Driver or some other Realtek driver. How can i manage this problem? Please help me to fix this..

Thank you

Perhaps contacting Tech Support for additional troubleshooting and possible resolution would be in order.  You can contact Tech Support at 1-800-624-9896  or 1-800-288-4410, or you can initiate a chat session http://dell.to/2v4snVm

I am not in US, so i can't take a phone call.. I am in Turkey right now. I looked the link you sent me but there is no chat session that i find. I also did online diagnosis and scan my computer to upgrade some driver if my PC is needed. But nothing hepls me..

Like i said before that, i have no problem with my sound card when i use Linux. No cracking, buzzing or something like them.. I have dual boot and when i log in windows, sound starts cracking and getting noisy. I log out and restart my PC and then log into Linux, sound works normally like nothing wrong with it.. So this is absolute software issue.

I should open a ticket about this issue to dell but i dont find the location where i can open ticket. The link that u gave me didnt work about opening ticket. So where can i open a ticket and can give to techs much more data about my problem?

Thanks

Tydd,

Your original post did not indicate you were outside the USA, here's the information for Turkey:  http://dell.to/2iNnQSC

The link is broken or something again..

Could you please give me another information which i could end this topic and open a ticket for Dell Tech?

Apologies for that, guess it lost something between the USA and Turkey:  Here's a screen shot.
