Please follow the steps below to see if there's a BIOS recovery on the system:

Ugh, this is a mess.  First Dell introduces BIOS updates for multiple systems that causes serious USB device dropout issues with peripherals attached to a TB16/WD15 dock, then on the XPS 13 9360 they release a 1.0.7 BIOS version AFTER having released a 2.1.0 BIOS version, and now it turns out the 1.0.7 BIOS is bricking people's systems.  This isn't the only report of that.  Come on....

Also happened to me today.  The recovery procedure above does not work.

If I find a solution I will post back.

Bricked my XPS 13 in the same manner with same idea, loosing the USB Keyboard after some minutes attached to a TB16.

BIOS Recovery Procedure from above doesn't worked for me too.

Meanwhile I've created a Service Request and Dell will change the Mainboard.

Using Arch Linux on ZFS root partition postponed. ;-)

PS: Sure, to go from BIOS ver. 2.1.0 -> 1.0.7 is somewhat stupid, but "hope dies last" and it was the brand new one from 22 Aug (2.1.0 from 03 Aug). Don't search for ver. 1.0.7, Dell has deleted from 9360 Support Page.

Mainboard replaced and will stay on default BIOS ver. 1.3.5 for now, because no TB16 USB/Keyboard issues.

BIOS update 2.2.1 for the XPS 13 9360 was released today, which according to Dell-JustinC in another post is supposed to fix the USB intermittent disconnect issue with the TB16.

Yes, just saw the new version without any information for improvements.

Did not find your Dell-JustinC post for it. Can you link it. please?

Recap XPS 9360 + TB16 :

March to July : No problem, everything works perfectly

July : BIOS update, USB devices fail, have to plug my devices on laptop directly on the laptop

August : a bios update bricked my laptop COMPLETLY. Dell replaced my motherboard on site.

Newest BIOS update 2.2.1 fixed my USB issues.

I am all-set and back on track.

If you have been worried, my problems are gone with all the newest drivers. Can't say if it fixes all problems on this thread though.
