Update of Nvidia GTX 555m driver

Hey all,

I have recently purchased a DELL XPS 17 MLK laptop. I thought I'd be a good person and make sure that all the drivers are upto date.

Anyway, I realized that the Nvidia GTX 555m drivers that DELL supply are majorly outdated. So I went ot the Nvidia website, and downloaded the correct drivers.
I tried to install them, but during the installation proccess it stops me. Does anyone know how to by-pass this? Or would it do more halm than good to install the new drivers?

Cheers

It sounds like you have the same problem a lot of us have had recently with systems shipped with A14 BIOS and the newer revision of the GT555M chipset.

Your only real option at this point is to get the 290.53 Beta drivers from the NVIDIA website as these are the only drivers released to date that will install on this configuration besides the 269.59 drivers that shipped with the A14 L702x.
