Updated XPS M1710 with new 4gigs of ram but...
Ok I just got my new ram that I ordered from dell and I installed both of the 2 gig ram cards then I started the computer. But when I went to the systems its only showing 3.25gigs of ram. Can someone please tell me how to get the whole 4 gigs to show up?

you will never see all 4gb of the RAM as uasable with this system.Even if you are running a X64 OS,the chipset does not support it.All you will be able to use is 3-3.5gb the newest platform Montevina supports addressing RAM over the 4gb limit,none of the platforms before it will.
