Upgraded an older Inspiron E1505 and now the Synaptics Touchpad driver is not working
I upgraded my several-years-old Inspiron E1505 with a new larger faster hard driver and the maximum acceptable RAM. After installing the RAM, the Touchpad stopped working properly. I can use the Touchpad to move the arrow but the scroll function is not working and the touchpad icon doesn't appear in the Tray at the lower left as usual. I reinstalled the driver from the disc and I've also tried to upgrade the driver at the Dell website, but it is still not working properly. Any ideas?

I think you need to install Quickset application on this computer. Go to www.support.Dell.com and click drivers and downloads. Enter your service tag and list will populate. Look under applications and install Quickset. Restart the computer and try again. Hope this helps, let me know of the results.
