Upgrading question?
Hi all,
I have two questions regarding laptops upgrading.
First, when I buy dell laptops with specified OS, e.g., ubuntu, I wonder what happen if I install window on it later. Will this action void the warranty ?
Second is about hardware. If I buy any Vostro 3360 shipped with HDD. Can I upgrade it later to SSD after the warranty end?
I know this model can be shipped with SSD, alternatively. But I think it will be slightly pricey and want to delay my decision about SSD for the moment.
Thanks.

Hi rabitDell,
If you change the operating system on the laptop, the hardware will still be covered under warranty. However, if you face any issues with the operating system, that wont be covered under warranty.
You can also upgrade the hard drive with an SSD, as the system is compatible with SSD.
Please reply for any further questions.
