Re: Upgrading video card?

It is not possible.  The system doesn't have a video card, nor any provision for one - the video chip is soldered to the system board and not upgradeable.

Re: Upgrading video card?

Read the technical manual for the N5010. It will show you where the card is located. You can make your card faster by using different ram....read the video card specs on the net from ATI (the OEM). The previous writer was referring to a different model with a motherboard dedicated video card.

Re: Upgrading video card?

No, I wasn't referring to a different model - the N5010 doesn't have a video card.  Whether ATI or Intel, the video is permanently part of the mainboard.  It cannot be upgraded.

By all means, take your own advice and look at the service manual.

Re: Upgrading video card?

Agreed. I thought it was a card due to the ordering scheme....A true scheme, it is part of the motherboard but at least is not using part of the 4GB RAM. The board has a separate 1GB unlike the standard video that shares RAM.
