Video question for a e1705

When i was replacing my motherboard, I noticed that the 7900gs has a port in its topside. I was wondering what that port was and if it was for SLI capabilities?

My best guess:  for factory configuration/diagnostics/firmware flash.

It's not clear, but it's not for SLi - neither the 9400 nor the upmarket, similar XPS M1710 offered that option - the XPS M1730 is the first, and it uses a totally different video card design.
