Vostro 3350 Ivy-bridge CPUs

Hello Dear Dell forum community!

I have Dell Vostro 3350 with Sandy-Bridge i5-2520m (HM67, HD6490m), I want to put there Ivy-bridge CPU, something like i5-3320m, i5-3360m etc.

As mentioned here, you can choose I7 3rd generation on HM67, so HM67 shouldn't become bottleneck. But second part of troubles is BIOS support, but as people on other forums says, I should ask for BIOS im my laptop manufacturer, so I'am trying to do this via this forum and also ask you thoughts.

The only thing you can do is try - but the likelihood is that it will not work.  It isn't just the BIOS that's the issue - there are differences in mainboard support as well - and if the system didn't ship with these CPUs, they likely just will not work them.

Socket should be tha same, desktop H67 supports Ivy-Bridge after BIOS update. Why does mobile won't support it?

Look here:

www.cpu-upgrade.com/.../HM65_Express.html

HM65 may support Ivy-bridge!!! (i5-3610ME, i7-3517UE, i7-3555LE, i7-3610QE....)

Now I am going to buy i5-3380M (!) which is the newest i5 3rd gen mob processor, I believe it will work, but I need BIOS with updated CPU microcode, so how to contact DELL to ask them for bios?

Not possible.  the i7-3612m CPU is a BGA design - it isn't socketed.  It's designed to be soldered to the mainboard, like most of the Ivy Bridge and Haswell mobile CPUs.  Your current CPU is socketed - you can't replace a PGA CPU with a BGA CPU (or vice versa).
