Vostro 3560 fan problem
Hello,
I have bought Vostro 3560 more than 2 months ago but I still don't have chance to use it because of fan noise. I brought it in the service many times and even though FAN module, motherboard and windows OS were replaced non of these actions solved the problem and this annoying noise still exists. I have read that many people have same problem http://en.community.dell.com/search/searchresults.aspx?q=pch+fan and I'm wondering why there was no official solution provided by Dell for so long time.
No "heavy" applications are working, processor load is between 0 and 25 %, all components temperatures are not high except PCH and fan speed permanently is above 4000 RPM which makes my absolutely crazy, it is irresistible.
All symptoms are exactly as these described by ghostinmind ( you can find post here: http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3518/p/19511930/20390250.aspx#20390250). So I printed solution and brought my laptop back in the service (for 4th time). But they didn't make this change as this is not official solution provided by Dell.
So the situation is as follow: I can't use my brand new laptop because of this horrible noise, Dell doesn't have any solution of that problem and solution provided by other user with same issue can't be applied in the service. So what can I do? I haven't knowledge to apply ghostinmind's solution by myself and at the same time I'm afraid that it is not done in the Dell's service this change can affect warranty.
When I decided to invest money in a new laptop I was wondering between some models and some vendors and choose Dell because I have heard good things about their products. But now I'm totally disappointed of the quality and lack of solution for so long time.
Can anybody advise me how to proceed?
