Usually yes--charger and battery. To test--See if the adapter/charger is recognized in the bios. Check the adapter light and use a diff electrical outlet. Contact Support for warranty service and report the problem.

The adapter light is there bus bios window says that the charger is not identified. And to connect a Dell 45W charger or higher.
