Want to buy a game but...

I want to find out if my laptop "has what it takes" to play a game called Obduction. I don't know how to check.

My laptop:  Inspiron 13 model 7352

Obduction requires the following (I checked the other stuff but don't understand what this is):

  • Graphics: GeForce 660 GTX w/1GB / AMD 7700 series w/1GB equivalent or better
  • Additional Notes: For VR: NVIDIA 970 or AMD 480 (equivalent or greater)

Thank you for any help you can give. I appreciate it.

The system you have is Intel integrated graphics -- while you can check with the game publisher, the specs indicate it needs a dedicated AMD or nVidia GPU -- the game may or may not run at all, and it certainly will be slow since you don't have a discrete GPU.

You may need a higher-end system than what you have to run that game (the video in the system is not upgradeable).

A quick look suggests this game is going to need a high-end notebook or desktop -- Alienware 15 or 17 -- or XPS 89xx desktop -- it's not going to play on the tablet-class system you've indicated.

Thank you ejn63.

Although I am disappointed, I am glad I didn't just buy it. I will probably check with the game publisher and if they respond, I'll post again.
