My Dell Studio 1555 doesn't working. I am trying to replace its motherboard.
I guessed followings needed for this job:
1. Motherboard (CN-0C235M DA0FM8MB8E0 PWB W018J)2. Thermal Compound (CPU Chip Heatsink Paste)I also guessed that I should take following steps:
a. Dis-assemble 1555 and pull out CPU.b. Add thermal compound to CPU.c. Install CPU to the new motherboard.d. Assemble 1555 with new motherboard.
Are these all O.K. to do the perfect job? What else should I do or prepare for this job?
That's all you'll need hardware-wise. Make sure your current system has the ATI video option - if it doesn't, to use that board you'll also need a new heatsink-fan assembly.
