Why don't you make your PSU to Laptop leads plug in so when the joint fails you only have to replace the lead & not the whole PSU Unit?

Why don't you make your PSU to PC leads plug in so when the joint fails you only have to replace the lead & not the whole PSU Unit?

It's well known that Dell PSU leads fail at the clear joint with the Laptop and currently you have to replace the entire PSU at a cost of around £60.

That's expensive for your customers given they seem to fail every  years or so and expensive for you given that you have to replace the entire PSU (albeit at trade cost) for any that fail under warranty.

Would it not be better simply to fit a removeable lead with a Neutrik style connector at the PSU end, from the PSU to the Laptop? That way, when the joint fails, the cost i the cost of a new lead only which would be much cheaper for you nad your customers - I believe the cost to the customer would be less than £10 which is around 1/6th the currrent PSU price.
