Dear Sirs
Purcahased Dell Laptop in July 2012 Inspiron 5520 with windows 7. Later upgraded to 8.1 pro. when it was rolled out during Oct 2012. Came to know that windows 10 can be downloaded when the same was launched on Juy 29th. I have made an reservation also and windows icon is appearing in the task bar. When i clicked, it said, you will be notified shortly. Till this time no notification received. Can any one help me why i am not getting the windows 10 notification when i have licensed version of Windows 7 and later upgraded to 8.1pro.
Recently , for the past 3 or 4 months, unable to update windows , the details are below
KB3087916; KB3004365; KB3069114; KB3078601; KB3078601; KB3089023; KB2976978; KB3044374; KB3077715; KB3083325.
Pl help/suggest how to update the above. Will there be any interlink for not receiving notification for free download windows 10. I have also tried through trouble shooting mode but no result.

Ensure you have the latest BIOS version A14:

After that use the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool to Upgrade to Windows 10. See here:

Thanks for the swift response. Gone through your guidelines and noted the upgradation is a lengthy process. I am NOT a tech personal. As per Microsoft, they will upgrade on the background and notify. I am waiting for the same. My question is why I am not getting even after month and half.? Still how long I have to wait. OR
Is there any software problem in my system. Pl help

PS : as per your advise I have verified the BIOS which is the latest version A14. However, I have downloaded the latest version.

Hello and good evening
There should be a "white icon" with (4) sections. This is the Windows 10 download. Left click on it and be patient and it will load W10 which will take approximately 1 1/2-2 hours.

Never used W8.1 but it should be there.

Thanks for the interest shown on my queries.
As per your advise, did the left click over windows Whiel icon. The following message seen
Get Windows 10; Check your upgrade status; Go to windows update
When i clicked the first one, the message was YOUR FREE UPGRADE IS ON THE WAY and at the bottom OK , NOTIFY ME WHEN READY. I made a click over that but nothing happened.
When i clicked the second instruction, YOUR UPGRADE IS RESERVED. THERE IS NOTHING YOU NEED TO DO RIGHT NOW; YOU WILL GET A NOTIFICATION ON YOUR PC WHEN WINDOWS 10 IS READY TO INSTALL . So far no notification is received. Already month and half is over. Still the notification not received.
