Windows blue screen
My Latitude D531 suddenly died the other day, and when restarting it, the "Blue Screen of Death" appeared.
When running Diagnostic, the following message came up under Hard Drive - DST Short test:
Error code 0146. msg, msgcode 2000-0146, msg unit 1: DST log contains previous errors.
Does this indicate that the hard disk is completely gone, or is there some way of restoring it?
For info; I am using Windows XP Professional

Sounds like your Drive is done.... You might be able to get the data off by using a USB to your hard drive adapter.... like this... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812197004
Your going to have to get a new drive and reinstall your OS, :(
