XPS 13 9350 Boot Crash, Screen Frozen With Millions Of Colors

Hey guys, after having a perfectly working laptop with Windows 10, I just tried to boot up my 9350, and I got this screen after 2 seconds: http://i.imgur.com/Cn2PPPG.png

Restarted a few times, which didn't help. I've tried to get to the bios during bootup, and I managed to get to:http://i.imgur.com/TCAWJWx.jpg

Where I can navigate, but only in that tiny bar on the screen. Which makes it impossible basically.

Has anybody had this issue before?

Any idea how to fix this?

I've got the latest Dell bios installed (updated 3 days ago)

Already did that. The full screen colors show up ok. Red/Blue/White/Green.

After it reboots, and it goes back to the screen from the screenshots.

Hi mrboon,

My name is Pradeep and I work for the Social Media and Community Team at Dell.

Please connect to external monitor and let us know the status.

Please restart the system in safe mode using this link: http://bit.ly/1XCzPdC and check the status of the screen.

I cant connect an external screen, as i dont have the usb-c adapter.

And getting to safe mode also doesn't work, as instantly when I turn on the laptop, that weird screen appears. I don't even get the normal DELL boot logo.

Only thing I can do is the diagnostics test, and F2 to get to the BIOS. But the BIOS is only visible for a tiny part, as shown in the 2nd screenshot. I can navigate it, but its very very difficult.

" Already did that. The full screen colors show up ok. Red/Blue/White/Green ".

Try clearing the BIOS / Reseat the CMOS Battery:

1. Power off the laptop. Disconnect the AC adapter and all peripherals from the computer

2. Press down the "Power On" button for 15 seconds

3. Open case and remove motherboard battery

4. Press down the Power On button for 25 seconds.

5. Reinstall the battery. (You can get a brand new coin cell battery at your local Walmart or dollar store for about $2.00 - $5.00).

Here's your service manual for the XPS 9350. Please click on link below:

The Diagnostics test, did you get any error codes and you were able to run the extended tests as well ?

RE: XPS 13 9350 Boot Crash, Screen Frozen With Millions Of Colors

Hello everybody,

i just bought a new dell precision 7510 and after a week i updated the bios at the newest released version 1.4.8. The installation was ok, i mean, it did everything but after the reboot i had exactly the same problem.

Did anyone fix it?

Thank you very much!
