XPS 15-9560, Waves Maxx Audio randomly using 3-5 GB RAM
I have a Dell XPS 15 9560, bought about three months ago. About two or three days ago I noticed my laptops fans would kick in while idling, checked the task manager and noticed CPU and RAM usage topping 80%. The culprit was Waves, it was using 99% of the RAM.
The only significant change to the machine was me installing a Dell BIOS update around the same time that this problem arose. Also, unrelated or not, scrolling on the laptop has some lag. I'll start to scroll, and pages will respond after a second or two delay. Anyone know what's going on?

Did you reinstall the Realtek High Definition Audio driver, reboot, then retest? What BIOS did you recently install? 1.5.0? Have you tried reinstalling the prior BIOS? Note, may not be possible but test it.
