XPS 15z back-lit keyboard

Hi there,

I have just received my xps 15z. However i have a question. All the keys light up when i activate the backlit keyboard except the spacebar.

The spacebar is the only one not lighting up.

Is this normal? If not please show me a photo of how the keyboard normally lights up.

Thanks

JLQ9,

It is normal. Here is a picture of the backlit keyboard from a Dell XPS L501x.

There is no lazer engraving on the spacebar like all of the other keys for a backlight, it's just a key. So yes, it is normal.

Yes i understand about the engraving,  What i am asking is about the side of the spacebar. In every keys the light can be seen on around the key, but on the spacebar there is no light around the key.

Here is a picture to illustrate my question.

Notice that there is no light surrounding the spacebar.

Is this normal?

Thanks

Since there's no engraving on the spacebar there is no need to have it backlit, so yes it is normal that there is no backliting at all on the spacebar.
